A bark overlay atop the wooden frame of the Uncle Dunkel's Bark Clad Bluebird House lends it natural style, and its classic shape is familiar to your feathered friends. A 1.5" diameter opening on this front panel invites bluebirds to enter the piece, while the sloping roof overhangs it for protection from precipitation. Open the side panel upward and place the included Classic Bluebird House Nest Lift by Prime Retreat inside the shelter, to elevate the nest off of the base and prevent parasites from reaching the nestlings. This metal frame also makes it simple to monitor the health of the nest and clean below it in moments. The included Erva Black Bluebird House Two Piece Mounting Pole sports a flat top section, which secures to the extended back of the shelter using its included screws. A 12.5" long, step-in base anchors the pole in your soil, and its black, powder coated finish deters rust for a lovely look. The top half of this post removes from the bottom for conveniently adding a baffle without removing the house, and the square construction creates a stable piece. The 0.5" thick, wooden body of the roost provides durability and insulation for nestlings, and its rough hewn interior enhances the rustic appeal.
